Dear GNR families,

This year, we are participating in a school-wide author study of Candace Fleming. I am sharing our slides with you so you have information on Candace and her books and can do some of the activities at home with your students.

Our kick-off event is this Friday, January 17. We will run an early dismissal schedule that day so Mr. Swist and I can do a grade-level read-aloud, for each grade, of her book "Polar Bear."

To celebrate the kick-off and the read aloud Friday is a pajama day.

We will have a schoolwide assembly with Candace Fleming on May 19 as our culminating event for the study.
