Q: Where can I find license and credential information?

A. The following websites offer additional information about credentials and licensing information for the state of New Jersey:

Contracts can be issued only to applicants who have valid NJ certification or a letter of eligibility from the NJ State Department of Education.

Applicants with out-of-state certification should be aware that the processing of requests (even from states that have reciprocal agreements may take several months).

New Jersey also has an alternative route to certification for individuals who have not received formal teacher training. (NJ requirements for most certificates include a satisfactory score on the appropriate portion of the Praxis Exam).
