family this is Mrs like house key or School principal sharing information about our STAR testing that will look her in November stop texts are short and fat provide learning data the first time does a year provide Stateline data for our teachers the assessment is computer-adaptive that is based on how students respond provide information to the teacher about what students already know and what students are ready to learn next results show learning standards that students still needs to master as well as the ones that they have already answered there are different types of STAAR test kindergarten and first grade students participate in Star early literacy for second grade students they participate in Star reading our first and second grade students participate star math testing I'll be testing remotely it is really important that students work through the questions independently they should not be help or assistance with two questions results should not be able to answer this is okay you didn't complete this on their own students do not complete it on their own the teachers not be able to use the results to support their students in an individual lights play the results Charlotte is a distance has given so it is very important that students complete so question on their own you didn't need to work in a quiet environment during the assessment schedule for 30 minutes of time allows you to plan for that quiet time teacher last unit to turn on the microphone system during testing and only two to three students will be tested at a time Humane Society use a personal device with a camera like an iPad or a laptop computer that you have so the child can see the teacher and the teacher to see the child while testing is taking place testing window for STAAR testing is kindergarten 17th and 1st and 2nd grades November 11th through the 24th day and time information so you know his or her start at schedule Justin will need to be made by the teacher for the afternoon to allow for individual testing of parent-teacher conference logging in teachers will guide students through the login process if your student encounter difficulty so if you click the link below figure out how login to Star and how to log into star stats against teachers will be providing specific support to your child in regards to logging in the tax is password protect and the teachers will give you the password password should be assigned testing section students should not unless it is there a sign casting session thank you everyone for listening to this presentation about STAAR testing as I shared earlier you will receive specific information about testing in child's home run if you have any questions please reach out to your child's teacher and thank you again for all of your support
