Program & Registration Information
The registration deadline is August 28, 2026, to begin the program on the 1st day of school, September 3, 2026.
🚨 Important Notice: You MUST re-enroll your student every year, even if they were registered last year. New registrations require a three-business-day processing period before your child can attend.
Kidcare is a secure, welcoming, and enriching recreational extended care program for students enrolled in grades K-5 in the East Windsor Regional School District. Through gym activities, outdoor play, homework assistance, arts & crafts, and quiet play, we provide a well-rounded and positive before-and-after-school experience.

⚠️ Important Scheduling Note: When enrolling, you must select the exact days of the week your child will attend. These days will remain fixed for the duration of the school year contract.
⏰ Hours of Operation
Before Care: 6:30 a.m. – School Opening (Weekdays & Half Days)
After Care: Dismissal – 6:00 p.m. (Weekdays & Half Days)
Note: Kidcare is closed whenever the East Windsor Regional School District is closed.
🎟️ Drop-In Program & Rules
If you need care on an occasional basis, you can purchase virtual coupons (e.g., a pack of 10 coupons provides 10 days of care). Coupons are non-refundable, non-transferable, and expire on the last day of school.
AM Drop-In: $15 / day
PM Drop-In: $20 / day
Half Days (PM Session): $35 / day
🛑 Strict Policy: Your child cannot drop in unless they are explicitly pre-registered for that specific session option and have a purchased coupon. (Example: A student registered only for a PM option cannot drop into an AM session without prior AM drop-in registration).
How to Report a Drop-In Day:
If your student is registered for drop-in and will be attending on a specific day, you must complete all 3 steps:
📧 Email your student’s teacher.
📞 Call the front office of your student’s school.
📱 Contact your specific Kidcare site via phone, email, or text.
💳 Fees, Payments, & Discounts
Registration Fee: A $35 non-refundable family fee must accompany your registration (covers all children in the household).
Payment Due Dates: All monthly tuition fees are due by the 1st of the month.
Late & Returned Fees: A $25 late fee applies after the 5th of the month. Unpaid tuition will result in the student's removal from the program. A $25 fee applies to all returned checks.
Payment Methods: We accept e-checks, MasterCard, or Visa. Automatic billing can be arranged through CommunityPass. Cash or money orders must be paid in person at the Office of Community Services.
We do not accept any childcare subsidies.
Available Discounts:
Family Discount: 10% off for 2 children | 20% off for 3 or more children.
EWRSD Employees: 20% off monthly tuition.

⚠️ Deadlines & Schedule Changes
Monthly Changes: Any modifications to your child’s schedule, including withdrawal from Kidcare, must be submitted via the Schedule Change Form at least one week prior to the start of the month.
