Tier 2: Targeted Small-Group Supports is designed for students who need additional help beyond the core instruction.. These supports are delivered in small groups and are more targeted, with progress monitoring occurring consistently. | Examples of supports: small-group reading or math interventions, targeted writing workshops, behavior/social skills groups, after-school programs, supplemental practice or resources in areas of difficulty. |
Tier 3: Intensive Individualized Supports provides individualized, intensive interventions for students with significant learning challenges. Supports are tailored to student needs and delivered more frequently, with a specialist or specialized program resources. | Examples of supports: one-on-one tutoring, individualized stations or rubrics, specialized reading/math programs, afterschool and summer support programs, frequent progress monitoring and data reviews. |
