Back together and ready to lead!

Students from PLD, MHK, and HHS participated in the 2-day NJ-ACDA Summer Honor Choirs this past Wednesday and Thursday at Rutgers University. The summer honor choir festival was an amazing opportunity for our choir students to perform with a large ensemble comprising singers from 30 different choir programs across the state. Congratulations to our fantastic singers and their respective choir directors - Linda Behrens, Jordan Allen, and Jason Allen - for a phenomenal performance.

Our athletic teams are already hard at work preparing for the upcoming school year, dedicating themselves to rigorous practice sessions scheduled as early as 6:00 AM and running as late as 8:00 PM. Their incredible work ethic and determination during these evening workouts are setting a strong foundation for an outstanding season ahead!

We are thrilled to announce that Hightstown High School student Thapati Chinthapatla has been selected as a Scholar for the 43rd Governor's School of New Jersey Program in the Sciences. This prestigious program, held at Drew University, brings together outstanding high school juniors from across the state for a three-week residential experience focused on intensive academic and research projects. Congratulations to Thapati on this remarkable achievement!

We want to extend our appreciation to our EWRSD Student Board of Education Representatives - Sofia Buda and Daniel Mahany (not pictured) - for their outstanding service this school year. Thank you for your regular updates and for representing the student body.
