Dr. Jonathan Dauber joins Hightstown High School as Principal, with over two decades of principal experience at the high, middle, and elementary levels of K-12 education.  He brings a deep-seated commitment to humanistic leadership and a career dedicated to fostering inclusive, relationship-driven school cultures. For Dr. Dauber, education is built on the strength of the connections between students, staff, and families, and he is eager to partner with the East Windsor Regional School District community to support every student's growth.

Immediately before this role, Dr. Dauber served as the Principal of Thomas Grover Middle School. His extensive high school leadership includes an eight-year tenure as Principal of West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North (2015–2023), where he led strategic initiatives focused on Social-Emotional Development, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and managed a significant portion of the District’s recent $120 million referendum. He also served as Principal of Lawrence High School from 2011 to 2015, where he launched career academies in STEM, Business, and Arts & Humanities, and led the school to recognition as a New Jersey State School of Character.  Prior to LHS, Dr. Dauber served Lawrence Intermediate School as their principal from 2006-2011.  Here he led LIS’ one-to-one device initiative and oversaw the coveted Talent 21 ($1.5 million) federal grant for educational technology in schools.

Dr. Dauber’s leadership extends beyond the school building. He has served as a School Board Member for the Lawrence Township Board of Education and spent a decade as the Legal Committee Chair for the New Jersey State Board of Examiners. Additionally, he has shared his expertise in organizational leadership as an Assistant Professor at Rider University, teaching courses on developing organizational culture and facilitating process change.

Dr. Dauber holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Rutgers University and two Master’s degrees from Rider University in Educational Administration and Curriculum & Instruction. Outside of his professional life, he is an avid fan of UConn basketball and an alum of the school (BA Sociology/Psychology).  He and his wife are the proud parents of two high school-aged sons, and he spends much of his personal time cheering them on and driving them to and from their various activities and events.
