Shared Vision for Tenth-Grade Success "Freshman year taught us that it is okay to “go through it, as long as you grow from it.” As we enter sophomore year, we will build upon the academic standards established during 9th grade while continuing to develop into confident, responsible, reflective, and well-rounded students. Together, we will strengthen our study skills, use our voices, advocate for ourselves, and reflect each marking period on our progress. Sophomore year is also an important time to begin exploring life after graduation. Students will take the PSAT, engage in conversations about a variety of postsecondary pathways, and learn about the shared-time programs offered through Mercer County Technical Schools. Whether students are considering a four-year college, two-year college, vocational or technical education, military service, or the workforce, we want every student to begin identifying a pathway that connects with their strengths, interests, and goals. Supported by our families, teachers, counselors, administrators, and community partners, we will challenge ourselves to recognize our potential and prepare intentionally for what comes next.
