Walter C. Black Elementary School -

A second-grade student at Walter C. Black Elementary School has been named “Artist of the Month” by a national online platform for student art portfolios.

In a nationwide voting competition by Artsonia.com, Palmer Virgil's winning artwork, a piece inspired by Alma Thomas, captured the attention of voters nationwide, receiving over 300 online votes.

Multilingual Hightstown High Schoolers visited WCB to read the stories they wrote and illustrated. The WCB students were impressed by their hard work and loved the visit!

The second-grade students at WCB did a presentation on the solar system for their families on May 30. The students spoke and wrote about the nine planets and the characteristics of each one.

Mrs. Pukel's second-grade class held their yearly end-of-the-year aquarium! They picked a sea animal to research and presented their report and visual to the families in the class. The students knocked it out of the park once again!

🎪 What a night! Our Family PAC Night on May 6th was a huge success! 🎉 Families from across the district came together for a fun-filled, carnival-themed evening full of games, laughter, and community spirit. 🥳 Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event so special for our multilingual families! ❤️
