Dr. Alba Lugo, Principal

Dr. Alba M. Lugo became the principal of Melvin H. Kreps Middle School in May 2025, bringing over three decades of experience in education. She began her career in higher education, holding administrative roles at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and Princeton University. Dr. Lugo then transitioned to public schools, teaching Spanish in Red Bank and East Brunswick before becoming an Assistant Principal in New Brunswick. Most recently, she served as a middle school principal in the Lindenwold Public Schools District.

Dr. Lugo holds a bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in Spanish and a master's in Higher Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She earned her doctorate from Rider University.

A resident of Yardville, NJ, Dr. Lugo is the mother of two sons. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, especially to Puerto Rico to visit family and friends, as well as paddleboarding, knitting, and spending time at the beach with her partner.

Jennifer DaSilva, Sixth-Grade Assistant Principal

Ms. Jennifer DaSilva has been a staff member in the East Windsor Regional School District since September 1, 2012. She previously served as an ELA teacher at Melvin H. Kreps Middle School, teaching in grades 6-8 across her 10 years in the classroom. 

Ms. DaSilva earned her Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Rutgers University and Master of Arts in Teaching from The College of New Jersey.  She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English-Literature and Psychology from Rutgers University. 

Ms. DaSilva resides in Plainsboro, NJ, and she enjoys the arts, reading, exercising, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends

Rodney Point DuJour, Seventh-Grade Assistant Principal

Rodney Point-Du-Jour is an educator with over 20 years of experience. Mr. Point-Du-Jour has worked as a language arts literacy instructor, as well as, in various leadership roles in multiple districts, including Plainfield and Franklin.

He currently serves with pride as an assistant principal at Melvin H. Kreps Middle School.  At Kreps, Mr. Point-Du-Jour supports student development through his leadership on standardized testing, facilitating after-school clubs and activities, oversight of instructional practice and collaborating with teachers and school administrators.

Mr. Point-Du-Jour holds a bachelors degree in English from Montclair State University and a masters degree in educational leadership from Thomas Edison College. Mr. Point-Du-Jour is a doctoral candidate at Rowan University.

Mr. Point-Du-Jour resides in Rahway with his wife and three children. Among his many joys in life, Mr. Point-Du-Jour enjoys reading, cooking, kettlebell workouts, and rooting for his beloved Los Angeles Lakers.

Gretchen Cammiso, Eighth-Grade Assistant Principal

Ms. Gretchen Cammiso joined the Administrative team at Melvin H. Kreps Middle School in December of 2024.  

Ms. Cammiso comes to the district with 20 years of educational experience having most recently served as an Assistant Principal at Drexel Hill Middle School in the Upper Darby School District.  She also worked for several years as a high school Athletic Director in both the Upper Darby and Bristol Township School Districts. Her teaching experience comes from having taught 10 years as a high school Health and Physical Education teacher, where she also coached Varsity Softball.

Ms. Cammiso received her certificate in Educational Leadership from Cabrini College, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Walden University and a Bachelor’s degrees in Health and Physical Education: K-12 and Fitness Specialist from West Chester University. 

Ms. Cammiso resides in Ewing, NJ with her husband and baby daughter. She enjoys working out, cooking, spending time with family and friends and watching the Eagles win.
