Liz Molinelli

Huge congratulations to our December Athlete of the Month, Liz Molinelli!
Liz has been a powerhouse in the pool through the month of December, dominating everything from the 200 Medley Relay to the 100 Fly. Most recently, she clocked a qualifying time to compete in the Meet of Champions for the 200 FR!
Liz is a true multi-sport leader at HHS, having played Field Hockey and currently serving as a manager for Girls Lacrosse. Liz will be continuing her academic and athletic journey next year at Stonehill College!
Way to go, Liz! Keep leading the way!
Jacob Kramer

Let’s hear it for Jacob Kramer, our Boys Wrestling Athlete of the Month! Jacob has been absolutely dominant on the mat to kick off the winter season.
December by the Numbers:
Record: A perfect 11-0
The Stats: 8 Pins, 1 Major Decision, and 1 Forfeit
Hardware: 190lb Hammonton Tournament Champion 🥇
Jacob’s hot start is no accident. He worked tirelessly throughout the off-season, putting in the hours to ensure he was in peak condition to help the Rams compete for both Division and Sectional titles.
We have high expectations for the rest of the winter! We look forward to seeing Jacob make a deep run at a CVC title and punch his ticket to Atlantic City for the Individual State Championships.

Elle Quigg & Alex Quigg

Congratulations to our November Co-Female Athletes of the Month! 🏆🐏
We are proud to recognize Alex and Elle Quigg for their outstanding contributions to Hightstown Athletics! Both played a crucial role in the Cheer team’s CVC Championship performance on November 9th at WWPN. In addition to their success on the mat, both Alex and Elle are dedicated members of our HHS Lacrosse program. 📣🥍
Hear from our athletes: ✨ Elle: "This is my ninth year of cheering, and I’ve been on Varsity for all four years of high school. I plan to attend a four-year college and continue cheerleading." ✨ Alex: "I have been cheering since I was in fourth grade. And next year I plan on attending a four-year college."

Mason Johnson

Congratulations to our November Male Athlete of the Month, Mason Johnson! 🏃💨
Mason put together a historic performance this fall, running the best race of his career at the Central Jersey Group IV Sectionals on November 1st. He conquered the challenging 5k course at Thompson Park with a blistering time of 16:49, finishing 24th out of 128 elite runners.
This performance cemented Mason’s legacy at HHS, making him the 3rd fastest runner for Hightstown at Thompson Park over the last decade! 🐏🔥
His incredible season earned him a well-deserved spot on the 3rd Team All-Mercer County. While the cross country season has concluded, Mason hasn’t slowed down he is already off to an excellent start with our Winter Track program!
Get to know Mason: 🏂 Loves to snowboard during the winter months. 🎓 Currently working toward his goal of running at a 4-year college. 🏊 Serves our community as a certified lifeguard at HHS swim meets. 🎸 Huge fan of country music.

Jessica Jean-Mary

Sophomore volleyball player Jessica Jean-Mary has been selected as our October Girls Athlete of the Month after an extraordinary stretch of performances that helped propel her team to seven victories, including an NJSIAA State Tournament win and two conference tournament triumphs. Jessica was dominant at the net, recording 147 kills throughout the month and setting both a career-high and school record with 24 kills in a conference tournament win over Northern Burlington. Her all-around game was equally impressive, contributing 13 blocks, 50 digs, and 29 aces to fuel the team’s success.
Jessica’s standout play earned her a well-deserved spot on the BCSL First Team All–CVC Division, making her the only sophomore to receive the honor. It was a truly remarkable month for an athlete whose future continues to shine brighter with every match.
Ryan Walsh

Senior quarterback Ryan Walsh has been named our Boys Athlete of the Month for his outstanding leadership and play throughout October. Serving as a team captain, Ryan helped guide the football program to a strong finish, winning three of their final four games including exciting rivalry victories over WWP United and Allentown. His performance on the field was exceptional, throwing for 798 yards with seven passing touchdowns, while also adding five rushing touchdowns to fuel the team’s momentum. Ryan’s competitiveness, consistency, and poise were instrumental to the team’s success, making him a deserving selection for this honor.

Arleen Toor

Mateo Abad-Delgado

Congratulations to our September Girl's Athlete of the month Arleen Toor representing the Girls Volleyball Team! Arleen has had an outstanding month of September, playing a crucial role in leading the team to a 6-4 record. She has been a consistent leader on the court, recording a team-high 141 assists, along with 41 kills, 37 digs, and 17 aces. Arleen currently ranks 4th in the BCSL in assists, the most important statistic for her position, and 10th in blocks!!!!
According to coach Scheno, "Her impact extends beyond the numbers; Arleen is one of the top players not only in our division but across the entire conference. Her leadership, competitiveness, and steady play have been key to our early-season success, and we would not be nearly as successful without her."
Arleen's other contributions to HHS include Vice President of the Red Cross Club, volunteering as a summer coach at CORE Volleyball Club, and serving as a team manager for the Boys Volleyball Team in the spring. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, reading, and cooking.
Congrats Arleen and keep up the great work for the rest of the fall season!
Congratulations to our September Boys Athlete of the Month Mateo Abad-Delgado! Mateo had an outstanding month of September for the Cross Country team. He first placed 9th out of 296 runners in the Junior race at the Cherokee Challenge with a time that was the 32nd fastest of the 1144 overall runners to race that day. He followed that up by winning the Junior race at the Thompson 2-Miler the next week in a race consisting of 86 junior runners. He ran the 2nd fastest time of the 405 overall runners to race that day.
Mateo just started running cross country last year, after running track the previous three seasons! His plan this season is to make both states and nationals. After high school, Mateo would like to continue his running career in college in either the Carolinas or his home state!

Lily Fleming

🎉 Congratulations to Lily Fleming, our Girls August Athlete of the Month at Hightstown High School! 🎉
Lily was nominated by Coach Fithen for her dedication to the team, her years of commitment to the HHS Field Hockey program, and her leadership throughout summer practices. As a captain and defender for the Rams, Lily leads by example both on and off the field! 🏑🐏
Beyond field hockey, Lily is also a captain of the swim team (specializing in the 100 fly and 400 free), a lacrosse goalie, and a student leader involved in a wide range of activities, including serving as President of Girl Up, and participating in Yoga Club, Women in Business, MedConnect, Red Cross, DECA, and PGC.
In her free time, Lily enjoys watching sports, reading, listening to music, spending time with family, and hanging out with friends. Looking ahead, she plans to double major in psychology and political science, pursuing her strong interest in both fields.

Joseph Borjas

Joseph was nominated by Coach Wolkiewicz for redefining his image, playing ability, and leadership skills. His dedication to self-improvement has been unmatched, with Coach Wolkiewicz noting, “He has transitioned into probably one of the best preseason athletes I have had the honor of coaching over the past 8 years.” Joseph’s commitment was evident with his excellent attendance and effort during the boys’ soccer 6am workouts held all summer.
Joseph’s hard work paid off in a big way—he delivered an opportunistic game-winning goal in double overtime against powerhouse Robbinsville! 🥇⚽🐏
