hi boys and girls as soon as look like house key your school principal and I am making this video because it is week 2 of our summer reading challenge I bet everyone is participating and finding fun things to do while they are reading you may have noticed that there's also a summer reading bonus challenge and one of the challenges is to watch mrs. like house keys read aloud on July 15th which is today so I am going to read a book to you and then when I'm finished or even now you can write title of the book on this line on July 15th to show that you watch the book for the summer reading bonus challenge okay so the books that I'm going to reach you is a nice it is called the very lonely Firefly and I picked this book because I'm seeing a lot of fireflies outside at night and I thought you might be in them too read about the very lonely Firefly as the sunset a little Firefly was born it stretched its wings and flew off into the dark sky I was a lonely Firefly and it flashed its lights searching for other fireflies the Firefly saw a life and flew toward it was not another Firefly it was a light bulb lighting up the night that noise I wonder what noise a grown-ups are talking about the fireflies song Light and flew toward it but it was not another Firefly it was a candle flickering in the night going on going on the grown-up ask let's see what's going on the five I saw a light and flew toward it but it was not another Firefly it was a flashlight shining in the night quiet out there happening the Firefly saw light and flew toward it but it was not another Firefly it was a lantern glowing in the night what is it stop fighting I wonder who's fighting the Firefly saw several lights and flew toward them but they were not other fireflies there was a dog a cat and an owl their eyes reflecting the life the Firefly saw a light and flew toward it but he was not another Firefly it was a car's headlights flooding the night Luke wow it's beautiful I wonder what they're talkin about something that light up the sky maybe something that's very bright let's see what they're talking about the Firefly song many lights and flew towards them but they were not other fireflies they were fireworks glittering and shimmering in the night I'm wondering maybe some of you have seen some fireworks lighting up the sky recently when all was quiet the Firefly flew through the night flashing its light looking and searching again then the very lonely Firefly what it had been looking for a group of fireflies flashing their lights now the Firefly wasn't lonely any more okay so boys and girl take a few minutes to write down the title the very lonely Firefly onto your Summer Challenge sheet there's some other really cool challenges that you can do this week or even some from last week if maybe you didn't do them queso that includes read a book about animals read on a blanket outside read while eating ice cream who I would like to do that one and read for 20 minutes or weed after dinner so maybe those are some of the challenges you can do if you haven't done them yet so remember to write the title down the very lonely Firefly and I was going to read another book to you on August 20th also part of the bonus challenge so obvious sending out a video on August 20th I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and I will see you soon
